Product news: Mizar Tilt Light Sheet Imaging System
Light Sheet technology is ideal for living organisms
Light Sheet is a fluorescence illumination method that is ideal for sensitive samples and living organisms that will be microscoped for an extended period of time. Instead of illuminating the entire specimen, a 4.3 µm thin and 300 µm long light sheet is created that illuminates the specimen from the side. This thin layer has reduced phototoxicity and is kinder to living tissue. In addition, fading of fluorochromes is reduced. Light Sheet is therefore an ideal method for microscopy of living organisms such as zebrafish, C. elegans and yeast cells to be studied over a longer period of time.
The only Light Sheet system that can be combined with other microscope methods
Tilt is a modular light sheet microscope system that can be used with virtually any inverted microscope model. Unlike other light sheet microscopes, Tilt can be added to an existing inverted microscope using existing objectives and fluorescence filters. Tilt works with all magnifications, from low NA to high NA. You do not need a dedicated Light Sheet microscope, but can switch between your regular microscopy methods and the Light Sheet method in the same system. You can also use all your usual fluorescent markers and protocols.
