CoolLED pE-100

LED illumination for single wavelength fluorescence microscopy

The pE-100 is a fluorescent LED light developed for applications requiring only one excitation wavelength. It replaces the traditional mercury lamp and is ideal for clinical applications such as routine screening, but also for research applications that require precise intensity control. It turns on and off like a normal lamp and requires no heating or cooling. With its 25,000 burning hours, it is a very affordable and stable alternative to a mercury lamp. You can choose from 20 different LED wavelengths, from near UV, 365 nm, to near IR, 770 nm. The system consists of a pE-100 LED light source, control unit and power supply.

Three different standard versions:

Directly connected
Connects to the microscope via an adapter that fits your microscope. Adapters are available for both new and older models. A simple adjustment provides optimal light distribution over the entire field of view.

Light guide
If direct connection is not possible, the pE-100 can be connected via a light guide (Liquid Light Guide) that is 3mm in diameter. Adapters are also available for most microscope models.

Optical fiber
pE-100 has been designed to also be connected to a multimode fiber (SMA-coupling). pE-100-F also offers space for, for example, an excitation filter before the light is led into the fiber.
