Successful days at Diagnostics Forum at Karolinska University Hospital

The Institute of Biomedical Laboratory Science and Karolinska University Laboratory organized the Diagnostics Forum on October 8-9, 2018, at the new hospital building at Karolinska University Hospital in Solna.
Visitors came and talked microscopes with us at BergmanLabora. We had two microscopes on site. An E200 and a Ci-L, both are upright routine microscopes. Many of the visitors stayed and looked in our microscopes. They were impressed by the fine high-resolution image and the light in the microscope. The microscopes have advanced automation features, improved LED ambient lighting and patented in-line focusing.
The exhibition was well attended on both days with around 350 visitors. This year’s theme was “Together we create the best care” and in addition to the latest in laboratory medicine and clinical physiology, there was a wide range of interesting lectures, talks and workshops.
After the first day of the conference, you could attend a mingle with entertainment. The mingle was held directly after the conference. A novelty for this year was that you could participate in a post-conference on one day. There were workshops and in-depth study visits to the Karolinska University Laboratory.
In parallel with the post-conference, the Karolinska University Laboratory organized a national meeting for heads of laboratory medicine.
