QATM Qmount

Qmount is a modern device for light-curing embedding of materialographic samples.

The samples are placed in the device which is equipped with customized and powerful LED technology. The UV-transparent injection molds are filled with UV-curing resin. The transparent sample can be extracted in a very short time. An extraction unit from the QATM range can be connected to the device for increased work safety.

Qmount is a state-of-the-art laboratory equipment for fast and controlled UV-based embedding of materialographic samples. Through customized LED technology with carefully defined wavelengths, the embedding material is effectively cured and provides transparent samples ready for further grinding, polishing and analysis in a very short time.

The samples are placed in UV-transparent molds filled with UV-curing resin. The optimized illumination ensures uniform polymerization and low temperatures, minimizing the risk of impact on the material structure. Standard samples can typically be completed in around 60 seconds, making the process both fast and reproducible.

Qmount is designed for daily laboratory use with robust aluminum housing, integrated ventilation and easy-to-clean work surface. The large glass plate allows simultaneous pouring of several samples, providing high capacity even at larger sample flows. The process is easily controlled via color display and knobs, and started or paused with a clear start/stop function.

For improved working environment, an external extraction unit can be connected to filter fumes and odors during curing.
