Nikon SMZ25

The Nikon SMZ25 is a motorized research microscope and Nikon’s top of the line stereo microscope. With currently the world’s largest zoom range, 0.63X to 15.75X (25:1 zoom ratio), it offers a magnification from 6.3X to 157.5X magnification (with 1X objective and 10X eyepiece).

Like the SMZ18, the SMZ25 with its SHR Plan Apochromat objectives (0.5X/1X/1.6X/2X) has a very high resolution (actually even a little better than the SMZ18) and a great optical quality. With an objective turret with space for 2 objectives, you can get an even larger magnification range, from just over 3X to over 300X in the same microscope!

When switching from one lens to the next, you can activate Auto Link Zoom (ALZ) and the magnifications between the lenses will automatically overlap so you can shoot with the higher lens magnification at exactly the same magnification as with the lower lens magnification.

Powerful stereomicroscope

With motorized zoom, focusing, switching between fluorescence filters and control of the transmitted LED illumination, all accessible via a convenient control unit, a very useful and powerful stereo microscope is obtained. Of course, everything can also be controlled from the NIS Elements software, which together with a camera makes image documentation easy and fast.

Difficult to focus on the whole specimen? NIS Elements’ Extended Depth of Focus (EDF) feature allows you to automatically take images with different planes of focus and combine them into one image with extended depth of field.

There is a wide range of accessories, such as various ergonomic eyepiece tubes with integrated camera output, polarization, LED tripod, etc. The microscope is very well suited for fluorescence and with the built-in “fly-eye” lens, crystal clear fluorescence images are obtained with very even light distribution over the entire field of view.
