Nikon Eclipse Ui
Digital microscope for clinical pathology.
Nikon’s new ECLIPSE Ui digital upright microscope is a complete system for digital clinical pathology and diagnostics.
IVDR certified digital microscope for diagnostics
The Eclipse Ui is a complete, motorized light field microscope with 4X, 10X, 20X and 40X Plan Fluor objectives and also includes a 13.8Mp camera and computer with software.
Eclipse Ui provides high quality images that can be shared with others in real time.
The intuitive user interface makes it an ideal choice for all clinicians, from experienced pathologists to beginners.
As Eclipse Ui is IVDR certified*, images can be used for diagnosis by medical staff.
*In the EU and countries where IVDR is applied.
For other countries, please follow local regulations.
Easy to use with automated features
The ECLIPSE Ui is a fully digital right-facing microscope that has been specifically designed with clinical workflows in mind.
The microscope is fully motorized with integrated camera and software and the simple user interface allows you to focus on your tissue sections without having to make camera and microscope settings.
All you need to do is load your slide (standard 76 x 26 slide with 0.17 mm cover slip), press a button, and within seconds you have an overview image of the specimen.
A barcode scanner automatically reads the information on the slide.
Functions such as autofocus and scanning the slide at low magnification are fully automatic and do not need to be adjusted manually.
In the overview screen, you can then navigate to the areas you want to look at in higher magnification.
You can easily move to positions of interest by clicking in the overview image with the mouse.
The motorized focusing function can also be used to make so-called Z-stacks – images at different depths of focus, for thick samples.
With a digital microscope, you don’t use the eyepiece, instead you look at a high-resolution 24-inch screen.
You no longer have to sit for hours looking through the microscope eyepiece.
In addition, the image can also be shared in real time for discussions, teaching, and diagnostics.
Excellent image quality
Nikon is known for delivering high image quality with its cameras and optics.
The Eclipse Ui has a 13.8Mp CMOS color camera that has a very good color reproduction.
The microscope also comes with four Plan Fluor lenses that provide high resolution and contrast in the images.
Magnifications from 4x to 40x allow you to switch between an overview image and a high-resolution study of areas of interest with a click.
Nikon’s Plan Fluor lenses, combined with the camera’s high resolution, make viewing/sharing high quality images easier than ever.
Nikon Ui can be controlled remotely
Getting a second (or third) opinion on a sample is very easy.
All functions of the UI can be controlled remotely, for example when data needs to be shared or for sessions where someone else needs to be consulted.
This is done via a secure, dedicated cloud service.
For this, no third-party interface is needed, it is sufficient to have internet access.
Please note that remote control requires the registration of the instrument and the appointment of a system administrator.
