Nikon’s new Lambda D lens gives the user the highest possible light transmission and resolution over a wider field of view.
Nikon CFI Plan Apochromat Lambda D Series – Bright and sharp images over a wide field of view:
Nikon has developed a new lens with a high refractive index.
This, together with an improved correction of the flatness of the field of view, provides bright and sharp details right up to the edge of the 25 mm field of view.
Since the degradation of sharpness and light intensity at the periphery of the field of view is minimal, very sharp details as well as reliable analysis results can be obtained for the entire field of view.
The Lambda D objectives also have an extended color correction over the spectral range, from 405 nm to 850 nm, which opens up the use of fluorescent markers such as Cy7 without chromatic aberration. Lambda D lenses give you:
- Greater accuracy for analysis over a wide field of view
- Fewer images needed for tiling of large objects
- More data in a single image
- Minimized risk of chromatic aberration in the nIR spectral region
