Integra MC10/MC30 Mediaclave

Mediaclave 10 is used for sterilization of 1-10 L culture medium and for larger volumes there is Mediaclave 30 which can sterilize 3-30 liters of culture medium. Integra’s media processor is used today in almost all hospitals, pharmaceutical and food companies and universities to produce culture medium / agar for the cultivation of bacteria.

There are two media functions and two alternative applications:

Media features

  • Standard mode, intended for normal preparations.
  • Chocolate agar, two-stage program with two heating ramps for the preparation of complex media. After the first sterilization phase, supplements, e.g. blood, can be added through the supplement port. Then a further heating phase takes place.

Applications

  • Heat bath, to pre-treat the medium before sterilization with a selectable temperature between 30-80°C.
  • Autoclave, with special insert valve it is possible to autoclave/thermostat liquids in containers.

Safe media handling

Before starting, a low pressure test is performed to check that the system is tight. In addition to electronic control of pressure and temperature, two additional mechanical safety levels are now available. The Mediaclave has a powerful magnet that changes direction during the preparation process. This means that a more homogeneous mixture is obtained.
