CrestOptics CICERO
CrEST Cicero is a compact, user-friendly and flexible spinning disk confocal that makes advanced fluorescence microscopy accessible to any laboratory
A compact and reliable confocal system.
CICERO from CrestOptics is a widefield system and spinning disk confocal in one that can be integrated with all types of microscopes, both upright and inverted. The system can be added to an existing microscope, opening up new research applications where high-resolution 3D imaging is needed, such as for life sciences, meterology and materials science.
Speed and high resolution in one
CrestOptics spinning disk systems are the fastest on the market (15K rpm) and thus make it possible to use very short exposure times. CICERO has a field of view of up to 22 mm, which means that even larger objects can be imaged in a single field of view. The use of CMOS cameras for detection also means that the sensitivity is high, which means that the light intensity can be reduced, an advantage that reduces the risk of fading of your fluorochromes. The combination of sensitivity and speed makes the spinning disk technique superior for imaging living cells, but also for large objects to be imaged in 3D.
Flexibility
CICERO is a reliable and flexible solution that is compatible with both LED and laser light sources. In addition, the wide spectral range allows the use of a variety of fluorochromes for a wide range of applications. Control of CICERO through the NIS-Elements software makes it easy to handle both beginner and challenging applications.
