High resolution and great optical quality
The Nikon SMZ18 with its SHR Plan Apochromat lenses (0.5X/1X/1.6X/2X) has a really high resolution and great optical quality. There is a wide range of accessories, such as various ergonomic eyepiece tubes with integrated camera output, polarization, LED tripod, etc. The microscope is very well suited for fluorescence and with the built-in “fly-eye” lens, crystal clear fluorescence images are obtained with very even light distribution over the entire field of view.
If you need both low and high magnifications without changing lenses, the SMZ18 with its magnification range from 7.5X to 135X (1X lens, 10X eyepiece) is a very suitable choice. For further ease of use, tripods with motorized focusing are available, making image stacking and the creation of images with extended depth of field a breeze.
