The vibrating polishing device Qpol Vibro is designed to prepare sample surfaces with virtually no deformation.
This preparation method is especially suitable for EBSD (electron backscatter diffraction), nano indentation with AFM (atomic force microscopy) or microhardness testing.

The vibrating polishing device Qpol Vibro is designed to prepare sample surfaces with virtually no deformation.
This preparation method is especially suitable for EBSD (electron backscatter diffraction), nano indentation with AFM (atomic force microscopy) or microhardness testing.
Due to the very gentle removal of material, it is useful especially for soft and tough materials, such as titanium-aluminum, pure copper and copper alloys, aluminum alloys, mild steel and nickel-based alloys.
With a diameter of Ø=308 mm, the large bowl provides enough space for polishing a complete specimen holder, large specimens or for simultaneous polishing of up to 21 mounted specimens.
The bowl is equipped with a double magnet system.
It makes it possible to fix, remove and clean both the bowl or the polishing cloth very quickly, without any tools or other fixings.
Polishing cloths suitable for magnetic systems with a diameter of 300 mm or 305 mm (12″) can be used.
The user interface is very intuitive and offers many functions to support the operator.
Depending on the mass of the inserted samples, the automatic frequency control selects the optimal vibration frequency in the range from 60 to 120Hz.
Manual adjustment is therefore not necessary.
Since almost indefinite polishing time can be selected, the Qpol Vibro is equipped with QATM Surface-Guard.
It counteracts crystallization or corrosion of the polished surface in the absence of the operator after a preparation recipe has been completed.
