Photometrics Kinetix"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Teledyne Photometrics is a world-leading manufacturer of scientific CMOS, CCD and EMCCD cameras that support demanding, quantitative research.<br \/>\nPhotometrics&#8217; latest cameras are part of the groundbreaking Kinetix family.<br \/>\nThey feature very large sensors, sub-electron level noise and can reach higher framerates at full resolution than any other sCMOS camera on the market.<br \/>\nWith their large field of view and high sensitivity, Kinetix cameras are ideal for any application where there is a need to minimize phototoxicity and achieve high framerates, such as microscopy of dynamic events in living cells.     <\/p>\n<h3>High sensitivity and resolution for all types of applications<\/h3>\n<p>  The family includes both Kinetix and Kinetix22.<br \/>\nBoth cameras are equipped with the latest generation BI (back-illuminated) CMOS sensors with very high sensitivity (QE almost 96%).<br \/>\nThe pixel size is 6.5 \u03bcm x 6.5 \u03bcm.<br \/>\nThis pixel size provides very high resolution and is a good standard for most applications using 40x and 60x magnification.     <a --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 351\/352;\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Sensor maximized to fit Nikon Ti2&#8217;s large field of view<\/h3>\n<p>  The Kinetix 10 Mp sensor is square and has a diagonal of 29.4 mm.<br \/>\nTo achieve this, an F-bayonet adapter is used.<br \/>\nThis sensor provides a 2.4 times larger field of view than many other sCMOS cameras.<br \/>\nThis means that you can see more of your specimen in each image, so fewer images are needed to get results.<br \/>\nThe square sensor is designed to maximize the field of view achievable with microscopes designed to provide a large field of view, such as Nikon&#8217;s Eclipse Ti2 or Eclipse Ni research microscopes, where the maximum field of view out of the camera ports is 25 mm diagonally.<br \/>\nThe Kinetix22&#8217;s 5.7 Mp sensor has a field of view of 22 mm diagonally and is well suited to any microscope that accepts a C-thread adapter.       <\/p>\n<h3>How fast can a microscope camera capture processes?<\/h3>\n<p>  The Kinetix cameras can reach extremely high speeds, up to ~ 500 frames per second (fps) in full resolution in so-called 8-bit mode.<br \/>\nIf you are interested in a smaller area, you can increase to several thousand frames per second, which opens up to study events that occur on a timescale of a millisecond.<br \/>\nCombined with high QE and low noise, Kinetix is an ideal camera for studying, for
