We at BergmanLabora have a number of people who are out in the field. Meeting customers, holding training courses and providing service. Two of these are Susanna and Einar. Susanna is a product specialist specializing in lab instruments. Her expertise includes chromatography and mass spectrometry. Einar works as a field service engineer. His focus areas are Sotax equipment for tablet analysis, Shimadzu’s LC instruments, Integra’s equipment for microbiology and Nikon’s microscopes and JEOL electron microscopes.

What got you started in this industry?

Einar: – Happy coincidences! I did a 4-year technical course, then I started working with hearing aids. Fun job! Then studied to become a university engineer. Have since worked with various technologies, including uninterruptible power, medical technology, laboratory equipment and systems for semiconductor manufacturing and research. I started at BergmanLabora in spring 2016. I have always had a passion for technology and enjoy working with BergmanLabora products.
Susanna: – I also attended the 4-year technical program and then the chemistry program at Lund University. Summer job at Organic Chemistry at LTH. pharmaceutical research for 20 years. I really enjoy working at BergmanLabora. Went BML in the fall of 2015.

What is your cooperation like?

After some laughter from both, the answers are:
Susanna: – I whine and Einar fixes it.
Einar: – I couldn’t have said it better myself!

What is the most fun part of your job?

Einar: – Cooperation between company and customer. Good people with different backgrounds. Fun when the customer is satisfied and thinks it’s great.
Susanna: – To contribute what I can and help people in their projects. Meeting new people. Getting involved in different activities such as hospitals, small businesses or nuclear power plants.

How has technology evolved?

Both reflect: “We used to sell instruments and software and service when something broke. Now we also deliver support, application support and IT know-how. So we sell SOLUTIONS in partnership with the customer.

What challenges have you faced?

Both with broad smiles: – Quite a few! But we solve them! What do you do when you are free?
Einar: – Works with house and garden. Goes to MFF matches, concerts with rock and roll music.
Susanna: – I’m also an MFF fan and I like to rock. Training for Toughest (which is a competition with a tough obstacle course). I’m a bonus grandma, so I get to spend a lot of time with my extended family.
